Requesting that duplicate lists of convicts transported during the governorship of Hunter showing original sentences be sent to N.S.W., and enclosing copies of:
21 August 1801. Gov. King (Sydney) to Duke of Portland reporting that clerks to Gov. Hunter and himself had been bribed to alter sentences of transportation for life to transportation for 7 years, enclosing copy of proclaimation that any convict who has engaged in such a transaction should report it to Governor's Secretary.
