The material filmed from this Series by the Australian Joint Copying Project may be divided into the following groups:
1. Colonial Reports consisting of entry books of reports from the Colonies, together with correspondence relating to supplies of arms and ammunition.
2. Engineer Papers, including letters and reports from Chief Engineers dealing with buildings, materials, the cost of labour, etc.
3. Statement of Lands, Rents and Buildings which includes returns of rents received, requisitions, surveys, plans and drawings, and for lands owned by the Ordnance a description 'shewing their dimensions, the materials with which they are constructed, and the purposes to which they are applied'.
