Accounts (including some accounts of earlier date than 1829) which had to be declared before the Chancellor of the Exchequer and also those accounts which under various statutes could be signed and passed by the Commissioners of Audit upon a Treasury warrant, such as the Sheriffs' and the Irish accounts. The series includes details of payments of first fruits.
Material selected by the AJCP for filming include: Accounts from Governors, commissaries and Agents of New South Wales, Norfolk Island, Van Diemen's Land, Western Australia, New Zealand and the Convict Hulk Establishment.
Selected extracts only have been copied from all pieces except 3,5,6,11,15-17,23,29 and 56 which have been copied in their entirety.
