Fred Lynch with wife and two children join voyage for passage to Western Australia (appointed Religious Instructor for voyage), items stolen by prisoners recovered, sickness of prisoners, prisoners request tea and chocolate rations for breakfast instead of gruel, daily issue of lime juice, convict misdeeds and punishments, riots, prisoners producing a weekly paper 'Life Boat', gruel reinstated after 49 days, deaths recorded, notes re stores used, illnesses, sick list, disembarkation.
