- This series is comprised of material relating to Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue's work as an Indigenous rights activist and as an activist for other social and political issues. The series is organized by the various associations O'Donoghue worked for and issues she advocated for. This includes her role in organizing the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the 1967 referendum, being a member of the Republic Advisory Committee, her role as chairperson for the Rio Tinto Aboriginal Foundation, and as a chairperson for the National Indigenous Advisory Committee for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and Paralympics. It also includes material relating to National Sorry Day, a conference on Domestic Violence and the Lowitja Institute.
