Content Summary:
This series is comprised of photographs of Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue from her childhood onwards. Many of the photographs are of O'Donoghue in her official roles: including photographs taken while giving addresses and receiving awards, during a visit to Pitjantjatjara Lands in 1995, at the unveiling of the portrait by Robert Hannaford, the opening of the Lois O'Donoghue Hostel (Port Augusta), and photographs of her running with Olympic torch for 2000 Sydney Olympics. Many of the photographs are loose, with a couple of albums also provided. The photographs were selected from a large volume of material held by O'Donoghue.
