The map illustrates the geological periods in order (youngest to oldest): Post-Tertiary; Permian; Carboniferous. The Post Tertiary shows Alluvium, while Permian period shows Coal Measures and Marine Sediments. The Carboniferous period into two geological processes: Glacial Stage and Volcanic Stage. In the Glacial Stage the map illustrates both Glacial Beds and coarse glacial conglomerate as well tuff; while the Volcanic Stage is illustrated by course conglomerate and tuffs, Horneblende Andesite, Dacites and glassy and lithoidal, Andesitic tuff, Felsitic lavas of various kinds and Pyroxene Andesite.
