The collection comprises drafts of the Australian author Colleen McCullough's early writing, including: early first drafts (plus draft film script) of her first published novel 'Tim' (1974) - draft title "Not the Full Quid" - written when McCullough was working as a neurophysiologist at Yale University in the USA; numerous drafts of unpublished poems, some with handwritten meter notations; drafts of short stories with the titles "Mer-Song", "Oft in the Stilly Night", "The Mudhole", "Michael", "A Few Cat Tales", "No Psychological Strings Attached"; and three letters - one from Margaret Latrobe to McCullough, one from John [surname unknown] to McCullough plus a response from McCullough to John. The majority of the records are typed and many include handwritten edits and notations and only nine of the works include dates.
