It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the changing of the seasons from winter to spring. Brisbane Holi Festival's main objective is to celebrate unity in diversity and bring communities together on the occasion of Holi.
Collection of images documenting an Eid Milap Dinner hosted by the Association of Indian Muslims Queensland Inc. (AIMQ) and held at the Australian International Islamic College Hall, Durack, Queensland for the Indian diaspora in Australia collecting project. The photographs document the men's side of the event and include portraits of participants, speeches, prayers and a shared meal. Majority of the attendees were from Hyderabad, India. The AIMQ's mission is to foster a vibrant Muslim community for those originating from the Indian subcontinent, by functioning as a central hub for interaction through facilitating connections, collaborations and gatherings.
