This collection comprises John P. Ingram's musical output, and related scripts and correspondence. The musical component of the collection includes Ingram's own compositions and his published works relating to church music, choral settings for various combinations.
The collection comprises papers relating to the Dunera Boys, gathered by Ken Inglis over years as an Australian historian. His final work "Dunera Lives" was published posthumously in 2018. The book tells the story of the famous "Dunera Boys": nearly 3000 Jewish refugees from Germany and Austria who were transported aboard HMT Dunera and landed in Australia in 1940. They were interned as "enemy aliens' in camps near Hay, Orange and Tatura during the Second World War. This collection comprises of Inglis's research for his book "Dunera Lives" and is made up of personal correspondence, research notes, newspaper clippings and drafts of publications and talks on the subject. A large component of the collection is comprised of folders on various Dunera and Queen Mary Internees, ordered alphabetically by surname. These folders include email correspondence with informants, newspaper cuttings, transcripts of interviews, and notes Inglis made detailing his thoughts on the individual's story, also include printed material, photocopies and notes containing biographical details of the Dunera Boys.
The Lake War Memorials Forum was comprised of historians, scholars, former Directors of the Australian War Memorial and other concerned parties, who conducted a successful campaign to stop proposed World Wars I and II Memorials on the Rond Terrace on the foreshores of Lake Burley Griffin. The collection includes National Capital Authority files, Canberra National Memorials Committee meetings and minutes and Lake War Memorial Forum submissions to the Parliamentary Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories.
The collection primarily relates to gold mining operations in Fiji undertaken by Emperor Mines and to Wallace H. Smith, a Director of Emperor Mines. The collection includes Annual Reports and Statement of Accounts for Emperor Mines; publications relating to Emperor Mines and gold mining in Fiji; and three cross section maps detailing mine workings in Vatukoula, Fiji. The collection also includes photographs of mines, mining operations and mining employees in Fiji, New Guinea and Cracow, Queensland.
The collection primarily comprises correspondence received by Martin Gascoigne from his parents Rosalie and Ben Gascoigne, his brother Toss and his sister Hester. This family correspondence covers an important period of the Gascoigne family's lives and careers and was a critical source for Martin Gascoigne's Catalogue Raisonné of Rosalie's work published by the ANU Press in 2019. There is also a small amount of other personal and business correspondence written and received by Martin. The collection includes transcripts of many of the letters written to Martin Gascoigne, with annotations by Martin regarding references to Rosalie Gascoigne's art.
