A collection of items produced to promote Australia Day, collected at various Australia Day celebrations around Australia. Includes a range of official promotional items including hats, badges, flags, a bag, a teatowel etc. as well as objects and printed material relating to Australia Day ceremonies and events. Includes a folder of souvenir images titled: "Australia Day 30th of July, 1915. Souvenir in Aid of Funds for Wounded Soldiers" published by the Trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales; 'Show the flag' on Australia's day! Australia Day 26th January.

Hydrographic charts produced by Australia covering the waters of Australia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Solomon Islands and Antarctica. Relief shown by contours and spot heights. Depths shown by bathymetric tints, soundings and isolines. Series includes ocean, coastal and harbour charts showing depths, nature of the sea floor, hazards, aids to navigation, tides and currents. Some charts show topographic details of adjoining coasts. Earlier charts show depths in fathoms, and later in metres.

Badges and pin backed buttons mostly donated to the collection by members of the public, including many collected in Adelaide by Mrs Fransine Brown (1904-1991) and her son, the Reverend Peter Brown (1936-2012). They relate to Australian charities, organisations, events, armed forces, public campaigns, patriotic causes and fundraising initiatives, and include badges or buttons commemorating specific events such as Australia's Commonwealth celebrations in June 1911, the 1918 Armistice, Anzac Day 1915, Navy Day 1918, and Empire Day 1946. Includes badges or buttons relating to Australian organisations or people such as the RSPCA, SIDS for Kids, AFL, Red Cross, the Australian Comforts Fund, Legacy, the League of Loyal Women of Australia, the Salvation Army, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Several badges from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s relate to the Vietnam Moratorium and other federal political campaigns.
