Some charts show topographic details of adjoining coasts. Earlier charts show depths in fathoms, and later in metres.

They relate to Australian charities, organisations, events, armed forces, public campaigns, patriotic causes and fundraising initiatives, and include badges or buttons commemorating specific events such as Australia's Commonwealth celebrations in June 1911, the 1918 Armistice, Anzac Day 1915, Navy Day 1918, and Empire Day 1946. Includes badges or buttons relating to Australian organisations or people such as the RSPCA, SIDS for Kids, AFL, Red Cross, the Australian Comforts Fund, Legacy, the League of Loyal Women of Australia, the Salvation Army, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Several badges from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s relate to the Vietnam Moratorium and other federal political campaigns.
