The papers consist of twenty five typescript drafts, many of them annotated, of published works for children and teenagers. There is also a small amount of correspondence between Klein and Max Dann, who jointly wrote The Lonely hearts club, published in 1987. The letters exchanged between the two authors are at the end of each chapter of the drafts (Folder 8). The correspondence gives an insight into how the two writers developed the plot, and approached their joint work. Typescripts of two stage and film adaptations of Klein's novels, Boss of the pool and Came back to show you I could fly, are also included.
