This collection comprises material collected by Somerville relating to individuals and organisations active in the pacifist movement in Australia in 1940-1974. There are circulars, pamphlets and newsletters printed by organisations such as the Christian Pacifist Movement of Victoria, the Central Committee of Conscientious Objectors, the Association for International Co-operation and Disarmament (NSW) and the Peace News Limited. Correspondence between Somerville and significant Australians like H. V. Evatt related to conscientious objectors such as Leslie Warren Hoey, Lloyd Butler and Bill Tarry.

This collection comprises letters dating from 1985-1988 from Norman Wood to Peter Solness, following Solness' visit to Paraguay to document the survivors and descendants of the New Australia Colony, a socialist utopian settlement established by William Lane in 1893-1894. The letters describe Wood's life and his reflections on Paraguay, as well as discussing the correspondence he received from Australians after Solness published an article about the Colony.

This collection comprises material relating to the life of Alan Neaves and his wife Jean Neaves (née Dalgleish) including: drafts of "A Biographical Memoir of Alan Reginald Neaves", letters, correspondence, speeches, papers, certificates, appointment diaries, notes, publications, photographs and slides. Material also relates to Alan's career including his time as Commonwealth Crown Solicitor, Secretary to the Attorney-General's Department and Federal Court Judge. Also included are family history papers relating to: the Dalgleish and Hilton families, Jean's maternal and paternal sides; the Neaves family including typed copies of Henry Herbert Neaves', Alan's father, "War Diary of Captain H.H. Neaves"; the Jones family, Alan's maternal side; and, extended families including Kelly and Hoskins.

The collection includes conference programs, reports, correspondence, budget and funding files, website content, files relating to the World Wildlife Fund, media releases, planning and briefing documentation, subject files, tax campaigns, CANA directories, presentations, submissions and meeting files.

This collection comprises volumes of poetry, note and recipe books, correspondence to and from Chris Woodland and music. Also various archived and miscellaneous material from the Wild Colonial Days Society (WCDS). There are issues of some WCDS N.S.W. branch journals (August 1967 - August 1968) and the 'Fossiker' March - August 1968). Papers include correspondence (bound), an address book, questionnaire and membership forms, the society's revised constitution, a members re-enactment report and note books with the handwritten meeting minutes. Newspaper clippings (some photocopied), photographs and ephemera highlight the society's activities, centenary events and historical re-enactments of The Capture of the Clarke Brothers, The Cobb and Co. run, The Shooting of Johnny Gilbert, The Bargo Bush murder, the Ben Hall gang and the shooting of Constable Nelson. The are numerous tickets and programmes to balls, dances and concerts with flyers, a felt banner and a typed film scripts with one titled 'HMS The Branch of justice'.

MS 6669 comprises a small collection of letters and photographs relating to Miss Pharo's services to Lady Munro-Ferguson: Letters from Lady Munro Ferguson, Captain the Hon Bede Clifford later Earl of Chudleigh and others to Miss Pharo for the period 1900 to 1921. Most of these acknowledgements for Miss Pharo's services and farewell notes on Miss Pharo's departure from Government House. There is also a small group of subject files of copies of "out letters" from the Governor General's office. These consist of official letters to various organizations: The Society for Welfare of Mothers and Babies; The Friendly Union of Soldiers' Wives; The Imperial War Relief Fund and the soldiers' Welfare Committee. The photographs in this collection are of Lady Munro Ferguson, Captain Clifford and Miss Pharo.
