Notes, correspondence, research material, film strips relating to "Kangaroo", "Great Barrier Reef" and "Australia" and miscellaneous papers relating to the Sydney University Protest Committee, 1946-1953. 3. Cuttings draft and correspondence, 1930-1952. Also includes material by Roslyn Poignant. 4. Drafts and papers relating to Encounter at Nagalarramba and presentation for "Rom" exhibition "Its about friendship". 5. Photographs, photograph albums, licenses and programmes. Of the two photograph albums one is indicated as containing Axel Poignant's earliest attempts at photography and hand colouring. There are photographs by Axel Poignant and those collected by him. The papers in MS 958 comprise letters and cards of Barbara Hanrahan, a typescript titled "The world you are walking upon: a tribute to Barbara Hanrahan" and photocopies of articles on Hanrahan, including her orbituary. In her letters, Hanrahan discusses her writings, including Flawless Jade, her art, people they know and Carmel Bird's writings. Also included are papers relating to The Penguin century of Australian stories, which was edited by Bird and published by Penguin in 2000. They mostly comprise correspondence, biographical notes and permission to publish forms received from authors approached about contributions to the anthology (15 boxes, 1 large folio box). The Acc06.204 instalment comprises further papers relating to the editing of The stolen children: their stories: including extracts from the Report of the National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from their Families, which was published in 1998 (1 box). Papers of Doris Mary Dyson

This collection comprises primarily original radio scripts and working notes by Doris Mary Dyson, written for the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission). The scripts were intended for school-aged children in Western Australia (WA), aiming to broaden their knowledge about the history of WA. Several of the scripts were produced by ABC Radio for broadcast across Australia, including the radio play "Kabbarli" about Daisy Bates. The scripts were mostly broadcast in the 1950s and 1960s. The collection also includes an ABC TV script written by Dyson, copies of short stories published in Western Australian newspapers, various original letters from the ABC, parliamentarians and fans, ABC contracts, newspaper stories about Dyson, photographs, and drafts and research material to which Dyson referred. Among the correspondence is a personal letter from Daisy Bates, and praise for Greenwich Mean Time and John Forrest from the Aboriginal Advancement League and Labor MP Ted Needham. There is a letter from the ABC requesting clarification for the pronunciation of several Indigenous words, preserved together with Dyson's reply.

These were awarded for Dr Scott's efforts and achievements in improving access to legal, housing, employment and medical services for Indigenous communities.

This collection comprises working and personal papers of the late John Halden (Hal) Wootten AC, QC, 1922-2021. Wootten's papers cover his high profile career where he was involved in a wide range of matters of national significance including his years as a barrister, foundation dean of the University of New South Wales Law School, a judge of the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Chair of the Press Council, President of the Australian Conservation Foundation, a Commissioner into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, and a Deputy President of the Native Title Tribunal. His papers include notebooks from field-work on Manus Island in 1947, information about the influential LawAsia Foundation from the 1950s, and a folder containing details of the original meetings that established the Aboriginal Legal Service in Sydney in 1970. He acted for both employers and employees in important industrial disputes in the 1960s, out of Chambers he shared with both John Kerr and Gough Whitlam in Sydney. Included in this material on the case of James Savage, aka Russell Moore, a Yorta Yorta and Wemba Wemba man who was incarcerated in the United States of America. Wootten was given leave from the Royal Commission to provide evidence for the trial in California.
