This collection comprises material collected by Somerville relating to individuals and organisations active in the pacifist movement in Australia in 1940-1974. There are circulars, pamphlets and newsletters printed by organisations such as the Christian Pacifist Movement of Victoria, the Central Committee of Conscientious Objectors, the Association for International Co-operation and Disarmament (NSW) and the Peace News Limited. Correspondence between Somerville and significant Australians like H. V. Evatt related to conscientious objectors such as Leslie Warren Hoey, Lloyd Butler and Bill Tarry.

The collection comprises eleven letters sent to Andrew Endrey from Hu Feng, Mei Zhi and their daughter Zhang Xiaofeng, accompanied by explanatory notes prepared by Andrew Endrey. In 1978, after a year of immersion language studies in Taiwan, Andrew started researching Hu Feng's published works at the University of Melbourne. Andrew wrote his first letter to Hu Feng in 1979 and received a response from his initial letter from Hu in November 1979. Within this collection, topics discussed include Hu Feng's literary works, theories and his health; Japanese writers Eguchi Kan (also known as Eguchi Kiyoshi) and Kaji Wataru; Lu Xun and his works. Andrew Endrey is an Associate Lecturer within Humanities at the University of Western Australia and also a professional translator.

This collection comprises material relating to the life of Alan Neaves and his wife Jean Neaves (née Dalgleish) including: drafts of "A Biographical Memoir of Alan Reginald Neaves", letters, correspondence, speeches, papers, certificates, appointment diaries, notes, publications, photographs and slides. Material also relates to Alan's career including his time as Commonwealth Crown Solicitor, Secretary to the Attorney-General's Department and Federal Court Judge. Also included are family history papers relating to: the Dalgleish and Hilton families, Jean's maternal and paternal sides; the Neaves family including typed copies of Henry Herbert Neaves', Alan's father, "War Diary of Captain H.H. Neaves"; the Jones family, Alan's maternal side; and, extended families including Kelly and Hoskins.

MS 7073 comprises manuscripts, research notes, typescript drafts, galley proofs, draft notes and correspondence concerning writing and publication of Summers' book Damned whores and God's police, and her autobiography Ducks on the pond. Correspondents include Henry Mayer, Melanie Beresford, Ann Curthoys and staff of Penguin Books. The collection includes a cuttings book containing press cuttings about Summers and Damned whores and God's police; files of research notes; cuttings; and, correspondence on a wide range of topics including women and poverty, single parents, family, Caroline Chisholm, child care, Aboriginal Australians, rape reform proposals, suicide, women unionists, education, prostitution, racism, Womens' Electoral Lobby, Adela Pankhurst Walsh, women and the media. The collection also includes material relating to the journal Refractory girl and the publication of Her story: Australian women in print 1788-1975. The collection comprises papers relating to the Franklin River Blockade, a protest against a decision by the Tasmanian Government to dam the Franklin River to generate hydro-electricity. The protest was coordinated by the Tasmanian Wilderness Society (TWS). The papers are a personal record of the campaign and include trainer materials on facilitation and consensus decision making detailing the internal politics of the campaign, reports, handbooks and information leaflets, meeting notes and agendas, ephemera, pictures, and personal correspondence between family, and campaigners throughout the blockade.
