Abstract Or Scope
On 14 October 2023, Australians voted in a referendum about whether to change the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. This collection documents the "Perth Walk for Yes" event which started in Burswood Park and headed over the Matagarup Bridge to Victoria Gardens and shows the crowd, the march and speakers Ken Wyatt and Braden Hill, as well as other community leaders, representatives and supporters.

The papers include correspondence, notes, essays, addresses and publications relating to Vroland's educational reforms and teaching materials such as class notes, teaching aids and exam papers. The collection also contains a large amount of correspondence, reports, notes and photographs pertaining to Vroland and his wife's fight for the rights of Aboriginal people. Also included are papers concerned with the Australian Church, the New Education Fellowship, the United Nation's role in education, and the economic situation in the 1930s and 1940s in Australia.

Bessie Rischbieth was involved in women's rights movements from the beginning of the century, at local, national and international levels, and her papers record her involvement in many organizations, especially the Australian Federation of Women Voters, and with many different subjects up to her death in 1967. Of special interest is the collection of material on the women's suffrage movement in Great Britain between 1906 and 1928. The collection contains correspondence, reports and minutes of meetings, some photographs, newspaper cuttings and pamphlets. The different series relate to organisations and subjects, and the correspondence is to be found at the beginning of most series.

It is one of the four clubs of the Divisional Union of Soroptimist Clubs of the Australian Capital Territory and the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, whose records are also held.
