The records have been retained in their original order in the following series: 1. Correspondence arranged by artists, 1961-84: the series contains letters from artists whose works were exhibited in the Rudy Komon Art Gallery, as well as young artists trying to publicise their works and letters from directors of various galleries. Correspondents include George Baldessin, Sir William Dargie, Tom Silver, David Thomas, Roy Dalgarno, Jack Lynn and John Siddeley. 2. Correspondence arranged by artists, galleries and companies, 1963-84: the series comprises correspondence with artists, commercial and public galleries, and business firms, mainly concerning the sale of art works or exhibitions. The correspondents include Tate Adams, Bruce Arthur, Jim Ede, Tony Underhill, Leonard French, Arthur Boyd, Judy Cassab, Kym Bonython, Sidney Nolan, Fred Williams, John Olsen, Peter Powditch, Ewa Pachuka, Alan McCulloch, Norma Redpath and Jon Molvig.Series continued: 3. Photographs (General): photographs and negatives of art works and artists. 4. Photographs (Personal): photographs of Rudy Komon's interests in wine tasting. 5. Exhibition catalogues, c. 1965-83. 6. Manuscript letters from Dalrymple to: Lord Morton, Court of Directors of the East India Co., Earl Spencer, Duke of Portland, Lord Grenville and G. Chalmers. Letters and papers include chart of the Pacific (printed) appearing in "A serious Admonition to the Publick on the Intended Thief Colony at Botany Bay", a memorandum suggesting transporting of convicts to Tristan da Cunta instead of Botany Bay, also papers concerning India and Cochin, China, etc.

The collection contains approximately 300 documents, comprising correspondence and other documents of Sir Joseph Banks. The documents originating with Banks include letters and copies of letters, speeches, notes and minutes of meetings. The remainder of the collection includes correspondence addressed to Banks from some 83 people, including Lord Bathurst (2), David Collins, W.B. Conyngham (5), Alexander Dalrymple (3), James Fleming, Georg Forster (20), J.R. Forster (5), John Hunter (4), Philip Gidley King (7), Lord Nelson, William Paterson (5), W.P. Perrin (11), William Perry (5), William Petrie (7), Arthur Phillip and Lord Radnor. Also contained in the collection are memoranda and journals of Sarah Banks.
