Abstract Or Scope
The collection comprises undergraduate essays, unpublished papers, drafts of published work, lecture notes and correspondence. The papers range through all of Gibson's academic career in the University of Western Australia, Canberra University College and the Australian National University. The correspondence, of which most is either administrative or university related, includes letters from his father W.R. Boyce Gibson, his brother Alexander (Sandy) Boyce Gibson and fellow philosophers including David Armstrong and Peter Davson-Galle.

The collection comprises papers, reports, publications, photographs and correspondence which document aspects of Overall's outstanding career as an architect and urban planner. Of particular interest are the items which record his significant role as the National Capital Development Commissioner, together with his long association with planning for New Parliament House, including chairmanship of the New Parliament House Design Competition. Also incuded Included are plaques and several medals, for town planning, architecture as well as Overall's KB and OBE.

This collection comprises papers of Kevin Thomas Kelly (1910-1994), who was involved with Catholic intellectual life in Melbourne in the 1930's - 1950's. The papers document his early membership of the Campion Society; his role in establishing the Catholic Evidence Guild and introducing to Australia the Young Christian Workers (YCW), a movement founded by Belgian priest Joseph Cardijn (Juenesses Ouvriere Chretien J.O.C.). Also included are papers relating to the 'Catholic Worker' newspaper; the establishment of the Australian National Secretariat of Catholic Action (ANSCA); correspondence including with James and Srara Scullin, Jacques Maritain, Louise Massignon and Robert Kothen; and drafts of the first three chapters of his autobiography titled 'Ballarat', 'Bairnsdale' and 'Malvern'.

The collection consists of the drafts, typescripts and related material of some of the later books written by Sir Keith Hancock, particularly his biography of General J.C. Smuts. The material related to the Smuts biography includes copies of letters by General Smuts and Sir Keith's correspondence with various people while collecting material for the book. Correspondents include Lord Trenchard, Professor P.G. H. Boswell, Piet Beukes, Sir Dougal Malcolm, Professor D.W. Kruger, Dr W.J. de Kock, Professor K. Kirkwood, Lord Reith, Alan Paton, Mrs M.C. Gillett, Professor L.W. Thompson, V.C.H.R. Brereton, Lord Brand, J.C. Smuts and Clark Bancroft.
