Three letters, 1836, 1837 and 1844, from Bishop Broughton, Sydney to Rev. Dr. John Keate concerning the bishopric, the visit of James Macarthur to England, Governor Sir Richard Bourke and personal matters. Two letters, 1836 and 1841, from Bishop Broughton to Rev. Edward Coleridge, concerning Church and personal matters. Also one letter, 1849, from Bishop G.A. Selwyn, Bishop of New Zealand, on board ship Undine at anchor, Anaiteum, to Dr. Keate. Handwritten transcripts by Vice-Admiral J.W. Durnford, also a Keate family tree from 1712.

Papers concerning the raising of capital on the London market for two businesses in Sydney. Farmer and Company were seeking additional capital in 1896 and 1897, and the papers relating to this matter include a statement of assets at 31 July 1896 and a list of people who applied for shares in response to the advertisements placed in English newspapers. The raising of capital for W. and A. McArthur Limited was negotiated in 1898. W. and A. McArthur was a warehouse firm with property in the centre of Sydney. Copies of the prospectus and auditor's statement are included among the papers.

The collection comprises six albums compiled by Ingleton documenting various colonial vessels and survey ships of the R.A.N. The albums include correspondence, historical notes, log entries, articles written by officers who served on the ships, illustrations and photographs, and newspaper cuttings describing the services of H.M.S. Victoria, H.M.S. Lady Nelson, H.M.A.S. Moresby, H.M.S. Paluma, H.M.A.S. Paluma, and H.M.A.S. Geranium.
