Printed pamphlet entitled Letters from New Zealand by an ex-Canterbury resident, published in London, and dedicated to John Bull, Esq., Junior. It consists of ten letters and is mainly a philosophical comment on the New Zealand way of life but with important notes on particular features such as the importance of the discovery of gold, the need for railways, and Maori agitation. There is very little personal detail although the last letter on the botanic system of medicine relates his own experiences.

Deborah Peake-Jones graduated with honours from the University of Adelaide, South Australia, then went on to study at the Royal College of Music with Margaret Kingsley. She has performed numerous roles in Britain and in Australia, including Cherubino with the State Operas of Victoria and South Australia and Zerlina with Surrey Opera. She has given solo recitals at St. Martin in the Fields, the Royal Festival Hall Ballroom, and Leighton House to name a few. Deborah was a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Competition, Australia, and the French Song prizewinner at the Britten-Pears School. – Wigmore Hall International Song Competition program.

On 14 October 2023, Australians voted in a referendum about whether to change the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. This collection documents campaigners, voters and signage near the polling place at Old Parliament House in Canberra on voting day.
