Biographical / Historical:

Mary Beatrice Crowle (1874-1972) was a lecturer, broadcaster, suffragette, Poor Law Guardian, one of the first patrol women with Lady Astor, organiser of Anzac Day at Bath, Somerset, etc. She was born Mary Finucane in Australia, Mary Crowle married J.N. Crowle RN, in 1902, and lived in England.
