Small rectangle of fabric described as being from Baron von Richthofen's triplane shot down in the Somme in April 1918. With it is a note by Lt E C Banks: 'Herewith a piece of fabric from the Fokker Triplane of Baron Richthofen the great Hun airman, in whose death I was instrumental on the 21st April 1918 near Corbie, Somme.'
Also includes copy of a three page typescript article by E C Banks 'Baron von Richthofen - France 1918'.
