Correspondents include Joan Glennie, Nelson Eustis and Roy Votaw. There are also Christmas cards, and letters and catalogues from organisations including the Mercy Flight committee, Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia; Australian Air League; South Pacific Mail Bird Service; Scout and Guide Stamp Society of Australia; Darwin Post Office; and Harry Hayes.

Includes a bundle of photographs mostly depicting Australian soldiers in Bougainville in World War II. Their provenance is unclear.

With the photographs are several publications, news cuttings and items of ephemera relating to the end of World War II, including Guinea Gold.

Some aviation photographs have been transferred to the Pictures collection, E.A Crome collection of photographs on aviation, call number PIC 3394. Some have been digitised and are available to view online. Photocopies of removed photographs have been retained.
