Includes letter from Ida Isaacs (Qantas) forwarding two airmail covers labelled 'First through British air Mail England/Australia', addressed to Hudson Fysh.

Also includes World War II ephemera relating to the Japanese surrender, with an envelope addressed to Miss J Dalzell, Sydney. The items are: A lithographic copy of Instrument of Surrender; souvenir issued to the members of the Allied Forces at Morotai on the occasion of the surrender of the Second Japanese Army; published pamphlet with address delivered by Commander-in-Chief of the Australian Military Forces General Sir Thomas Blamey on the occasion of the Japanese surrender; and published photographs of the formal surrender, Morotai 9 September 1945.
