The collection itemised below consists of copies of papers lent by Rear Admiral A.L.P. Mark-Wardlaw, Loseberry, Claygate, Esher, Surrey, and of correspondence 1966-1967 with him and correspondence with Mr. James Witherspoon Wm. Cochran-Carr (1934) Limited, Fenham Brickworks, Two Ball Lonnen, Newcastle-upon-Tyne 4.
There is also a covering letter from P. Mander-Jones to Mr. W.D. Thorn, National Library of Australia Liaison Officer, Australia House, London, dated 9 August 1967.
Admiral Mark-Wardlaw's father-in-law was the great grandson of a John Carr of the Cochran-Carr family.
