- This collection follows the author's own arrangement and contains literary, personal and general correspondence as well as essays, short stories, notebooks, drafts and original manuscripts. Note that boxes 33-56 were added to the original instalment of papers in December 1991.
- Biographical Note:

Craig McGregor was born in Jamberoo, NSW in 1933 and is well known as an author, journalist, and social commentator. His short stories and articles had appeared in magazines and newspapers throughout the world and he has scripted films as well as the rock opera, "Hero". He spent two years in the United States (1970-1972) on a Harkness Fellowship and has won a number of literary awards including the Xavier Society Prize for Literature, the Walkley Award for Journalism, and the Sir William Mc Kell Award.
His books include two novels, Don't Talk to Me About Love (1971) and The See-Through Revolver (1977), and several books on Australian culture, Profile of Australia (1966), The Australian People (1980), Soundtrack for the Eighties (1982), and Time of Testing: the Bob Hawke Victory (1983).
