Content Summary:
Newsletters, correspondence (some from Stephen Kelen, president of P.E.N. Australia) literary session papers, press releases, financial papers, press cuttings, papers on National Book Council, president's reports and address to Australian Society of Authors quarterly meeting, plus miscellaneous items and a rolled P.E.N. banner. Also included: four photographs of the presentation of P.E.N. papers to the National Library of Australia on the 5th September 1979 and papers of the 42nd International P.E.N. Congress held in Sydney in December 1977.
Biographical / Historical:

P.E.N. is a rough acronym for poets, playwrights, essayists, editors and novelists. The first International Congress was held in London in 1923.
