- The collection comprises minute books, correspondence, reports, financial papers, subject files, cuttings, programs and flyers. The minute books date from the formation of the organisation in 1928, while most of the other papers date from the period 1960-97. Correspondents include Sir Bernard Heinze, Reg Marsh and Philip Woods.

The collection was donated to the Library by Philip Woods, on behalf of the Federated Music Clubs of Australia, in 2004. A further addition was received in 2012.
