Graduated in Arts from Sydney University in 1948. Author of Sydney Observed, A peculiar people, the story of the utopian Australian settlement in Paraguay and The idle hill of summer. An Australian childhood: 1939-1945. A journalist in the Sydney Morning Herald, he is married and has two daughters.
