MS Acc05.197 comprises general correspondence, ca. 1983-2004; correspondence relating to leaving the priesthood, ca. 1997-2001; material and correspondence relating to the ABC, ca. 1988-1993; newspaper cuttings, ca. 1980-2001; appointment diaries for 1992 and 1995; typescripts of broadcasts, ca. 1989-1990; articles for books, ca. 2001; and, brochures for conferences, ca. 1999.

MS Acc07.145 comprises research files for a book on Canberra bushfires; handwritten notes; email correspondence; photographs; press cuttings; transcripts of evidence; transcripts of interviews; conference papers; and, press releases relating to the Victorian bushfires of 1939, Tasmanian fires of 1967, Ash Wednesday fires of 1983 and the Canberra bushfires of 2003. Also included is research material for and drafts of written pieces which would eventually become a book on the history of bushfires in Australia - "Burn: The epic story of bushfire in Australia" (Allen and Unwin, 2006). The research material ranges from the 1850s to the 1980s, and drawing especially on newspaper accounts of bushfires, which may have references to First Nations people, and one (or more) of the book chapters make references to fire management by First Nations people.

MS MS Acc11.032 comprises appointment diaries; cassettes of "The Church in the Eighties" and "Tension and creativity in ministry" by Fr Paul Collins; correspondence, including printed emails, cards and letters; drafts of presentations; and articles and conference programs.

MS Acc11.108 comprises correspondence, including handwritten and typed letters, postcards, and printed emails; conference programs; media releases relating to politics; workshop notes; and, drafts of articles.

MS Acc13.174 comprises primarily consists of correspondence regarding Paul Collins' books and programs such as Catholics for Ministry, as well as personal correspondence. Also included in the collection are annotated excerpts of drafts for some of his books and annual church diaries from the 1990s and 2000s.

MS Acc14.144 comprises general correspondence, personal papers, loose papers relating to the Catholic Church, and Paul Collins leaving the priesthood; working papers, presentations, appointment diaries, notebooks; typescripts, drafts and correspondence for 'God's Earth'; research material and notes for Jeremiah O'Flynn in Australia; newspaper clippings and printed articles; thesis documents for Doctorate of Philosphy at Australian National University; and typed script, annotated script and hand written notes for presentations presented by Paul Collins as well as presentations attended by Paul Collins.

MS Acc17.144 comprises correspondence relating to Collins' work as an historian and author, and his long-term Catholic interest in the renewal of the Catholic Church, including correspondence with prominent Australian Catholics; records of the organization Catholics for Ministry, including the organization of an Australia-wide petition to the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference; diaries, and personal papers.

MS Acc22.109 comprises correspondence relating Paul Collins' work, as well as personal correspondence, annual diaries from the 2016 and 2019, a manuscript copy of the proposed publication titled 'Midlife', and published chapters and articles in various publications and journals.
