Content Summary:
Newton was a regular contributor of articles and reviews to a number of Australian and overseas newspapers, magazines and journals. As a freelance writer, he submitted numerous pieces on Australian economics and politics and wrote a number of attacks on the Whitlam government's economic policies. After his appointment to Rupert Murdoch's New York Post in 1980, he was increasingly sought after as a public speaker in the United States. Filed in this series are drafts of several speeches he prepared in this capacity.
