Correspondence, reviews, and other papers relating to Breckwoldt's monograph Wildlife in the home paddock: nature conservation for Australian farmers, published by Angus Robertson in 1983. Breckwoldt was awarded a grant by the World Wildlife Fund to write the book. In 1983 it was shortlisted in the New South Wales Premier's Literary Awards and won Best Book on Animal Conservation in the 1983 Whitely Medal awards given by the Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales.
Many of the files are annotated 'WWF' by Breckwoldt and folders 8-22 have been roughly arranged in the order of the chapters in the book. The files contain correspondence, manuscript and typewritten drafts, notes, articles, publications and lectures by others, and other research materials.
