Letters from various individuals, relating to Baxter’s early military background and his business and pastoral interests in Melbourne, and in some cases seeking his assistance in their financial difficulties.
There are also three letters to Mrs Baxter and letters from various relatives including Baxter’s mother.
A document dated 1888 from the Railways Department, Melbourne, makes an offer of compensation in connection with a proposed railway line.
