Background
- Content Summary:
- The collection comprises photographic prints, negatives, publications and ephemera documenting the political, cultural and social life of Melbourne in the mid 1990s, with a focus on marginal groups and protest movements. These groups and movements include: biker groups; Vietnam Veterans, conflict between anti-immigration and anti-racism groups, and the female ordination movement. These photographs were taken while Janet Hawkins was completing four years of study at Photography Studies College in Melbourne.
