- Barry's children, Joan and John, were pupils at Koornong School, Warrandyte from 1942 until 1946. Koornong was opened in 1939 by Clive and Janet Nield as an experiment in progressive education. It experienced financial difficulties and in 1946 a Board of Management was set up to run the school as a non-profit making company. Barry was the chairman of the Board, which also included Nettie Palmer, G.S. Browne and R.M. Crawford. The series is small and contains correspondence with the Nields, W.S. Arthur, J. Wilbur Ham and accountant J.H. Opas, together with printed material and press cuttings.
