Entitled 'The Conflict of Security and Rehabilitation', a seminar on the punishment of crime was held in Sydney under the aegis of M.S. Brown, the Professor of Sociology at the University of New South Wales. J.A. Morony, W.M. O'Neil and N. Morris were among those who read papers. Barry was chairman of the third session which was concerned with the philosophy of punishment. The series is small and contains correspondence with J.A. Morony and H. Vagg concerning arrangements for the seminar, notes for his speech, and the transcript of proceedings.
