This was the title of an address Barry gave to the Southern Tasmanian Bar Association at Bicheno, 26 October 1963. It was reported extensively in the press, and appeared as an article in the Australian Law Journal vol. 37, p. 399. There was much correspondence arising from this, including letters from N. Dunbar, R. Fox, E. Griswold, R.J. Hamer, Justice T.P. McCarthy of New Zealand, Justice R. Else-Mitchell, Sir Albert Wolf, K. Myer and others.

The series also includes the N.Z. Criminal Injuries Compensation Act (1963), copies of correspondence in the press and with Else-Mitchell in September 1964, research material and press reports.
