Amnesty was an international movement set up in London in 1961 to fight persecution and protect human rights. Barry was the foundation patron of the Victorian section from 1962 to 1968.

The series contains correspondence with J. Greenwell and Clare Wositzky concerning Natalai David, and the visit of Arthur Koestler to Australia in 1968. Copies of Amnesty, 1961 and 1962 are included together with press cuttings.
