Barry wrote forewords or introductions to J.P. Bourke and J.F. Fogarty's Maintenance, custody and adoption law, in 1962, Studies in criminal law by N. Morris and C. Howard in 1965, W.R. Warden's Juggernaut: slaughter on Australian roads 1968, and to the first number of the Journal of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology, in 1968. Typescript copies of these are contained in the series, together with correspondence, notes, drafts and research material.

There are also papers concerning An unacceptable foreword - intended foreword for Convict Days by 'Price Warung' (William Astley). This was subsequently published as an article in Meanjin Quarterly vol.20, April 1961: 96-101.

At the end of the series is the contribution made by Barry to Alfred Conlon: a memorial by some of his friends, compiled by John Thompson, and published by the Benevolent Society of New South Wales in 1963.
