Material in the Australian performing arts programs and ephemera (PROMPT) collection consists of programs and related items of Terry Mitchell including various concert programs of his performances.
Terry Mitchell was born and educated in Sydney, and made his professional debut as Nicky in the famous Phillip Street Theatre's production of A Wish Is A Dream. He came to England to study opera, oratorio and musical comedy and made his debut in On The Level at the Saville Theatre in the West End. In 1976, he played the role of Leather Apron in 1776 at the New Theatre, followed by various leading roles including as Henrik in A Little Night Music with Joss Ackland, Jean Simmons and Hermione Gingold.
