Background
- Content Summary:
- This collection documents various aspects of recovery after the Black Summer bushfires. The collection focus on 3 distinct areas affected by the fires. The first documents recovery, temporary housing, and residents affected by the Badja Forest Rd fire in and around the Bega Valley Shire which experienced some of the most destructive blazes. The second documents 'Possum' activists from GECO [Goongerah Environment Centre] in Victoria protesting against the logging of an unburned section of old growth forest in the Errinundra National Park. The third focuses on wildlife conservation efforts on Kangaroo Island and documents two conservators looking to measure the effects of the bushfires on the micro-trapdoor spider and the dunnart.
