Content Summary:
The series comprises a sequence of general correspondence (1961-1990), arranged in binders by Withers. This material has been rehoused into files with its original order retained. The major correspondents include R.V. Garland, David Brand, Hugh Guthrie, Sir Peter Lawler, Peter Charlton, Harry M. Miller, Sir James Cruthers, James B. Leslie, Tom Harley and Peter Baume. There is also an extensive collection of letters to Reg and Shirley Withers from the Liberal Senator for Victoria Sir Magnus Cormack (1970-1993) and a small number of letters from Sir Robert Menzies. Other files contain correspondence relating to Withers' election to the Senate in 1966 and his car accident in 1983.

The collection was donated to the Library by Reg Withers in 1995.
