They include a special announcement by General Dwight Eisenhower concerning the surrender of the Italian forces (8 September 1943), typescript of Ed Murrow's broadcast from Germany (15 April 1945), typescript by Richard Dimbleby concerning his visit to the Belsen Concentration Camp (19 April 1945) and minutes of meeting concerning D Day celebrations (19 April 1944)

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were purchased by the Library in May 1995, from Stride and Son of Chichester, England. Further papers, comprising typescript entitled 'Growing up with radio', cuttings and photographs, were donated in June 1995.
