- This collection comprises various documents related to the founding of Mental Health First Aid Australia (MHFA) and the dissemination of mental health first aid training to other countries including Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Canada, USA, China and New Zealand. The collection covers the period from 1999 to 2019 and includes: email correspondence between the founders and others involved in the early history of the program, transcripts of interviews with the founders, correspondence with government departments and overseas organisations, photographs of key events, funding applications and agreements, legal correspondence, awards, and other documents regarding the founding of the company. The collection also includes mental health materials relating to First Nations Australians. This includes: correspondence from the Department of Health and Ageing regarding programs for First Nations Australians at MHFA; press releases relating to MHFA courses for First Nations Australians; and proposals to the Commonwealth Government seeking funding to support First Nations Australians MHFA programs.
