- The collection comprises the leather bound diary of Thomas Davies' voyage from Plymouth to Port Adelaide on the "Lord Raglan", from 27 June 1854 to 25 October 1854. The diary is accompanied with a press cutting about Thomas Davies' son, Alfred Herbert Davies, published in a local newspaper 'The Recorder', Port Pirie, South Australia, Friday Morning, December 16, 1938.
