Content Summary:

The majority of maps in the collection are of Antarctica, with a lesser number of Canada, New York, Arctic regions, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and England. The maps were created or collected by Griffith Taylor. Some are by, or based on the work of, colleagues and mentors including Thomas G. Bonney, John K. Davis, Nelson, Frank Debenham, T.W.E. David, John Murray, Erich von Drygalski, Douglas Mawson, G. Philip, G.C. Simpson, Hardy and W.H. Hobbs. There is one map of Antarctica published by the National Geographic Magazine, and three of the Ontario region published by Canadian government agencies.

Maps show geological and geographic information, topography, urban landscapes and infrastructure. Relief shown by contours, hachures and spot heights on some maps.
