Content Summary:
Most of the material in this series would have been used by Llewellyn as a young violinist. The music concerns technique, bowing, scales and arpeggios, exercises, and the art of violin playing. The composers of the large number of studies include Sevcik, Raymond, Kayser, Ritter, Carrodus and Kreutzer.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were donated to the Library by Mrs Ruth Llewellyn in 1990 and 1994 An addition of papers relating to pianist Hephzibah Menuhin (Series 23) was donated to the Library by Mrs Ruth Llewellyn in 2001.
