Michele Lee is an Asian Australian artist, of Hmong background. She writes primarily for theatre but also live art, screen and prose. For her play writing and audio writing, she has won AWGIES and Premier's Awards and been nominated for those awards too, as well as Green Room Awards. Her works have been programmed by Malthouse Theatre, Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre, Hothouse Theatre, Queensland Theatre, Monash University, St Martin's Youth Arts Centre, Arts House, Radio National, Next Wave Festival, Darwin Festival and You Are Here Festival. She has assessed and judged plays for major awards.
Material in the Australian performing arts programs and ephemera (PROMPT) collection consists of programs and related items for Australian performing arts organisations, Australian artists performing overseas, professional productions performed in Australia (including those featuring overseas performers) and overseas performances of Australian plays, music, etc.
