Merlynn Tong is an actor, writer and theatre-maker. As an actor, she has performed across various venues including QPAC, MetroArts and Judith Wright Centre. She wrote and performed in the one-woman-show Ma Ma Ma Mad- a dark comedy and physical theatre piece based on the true story of Merlynn's mother's suicide. In 2015, Merlynn is developing her new show Blue Bones that is also based on her experience- this time of teenage romance as it blossoms in the bustling streets of Singapore and soon, combusts into a dynamo of domestic violence. Merlynn is from Singapore and also works as an Advertising Executive. She is the prize recipient of Screen Queensland's Stage to Screen pitch, the First 10 Pages 2.0. Through this program, Merlynn has since been mentored by Jane Campion.
