- Peppino, is a children's novel in three parts, illustrated by Guy Mirabella and published by Hutchinson, Melbourne in 1983. The first and second parts of this novel were originally published separately by Rigby, Adelaide as Peppino says goodbye (1980) and Peppino turns his luck (1982). The third part of the novel is entitled 'Peppino in the tobacco wars'.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The main body of David Martin Papers was acquired partly under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme and partly by outright purchase by the National Library in September 1983. Additional instalments were purchased over the period 1985-97. The papers document the long career of one of Australia's most prolific writers.
